Peter Kaptein and Alexander Zeh on the room ware project. The Amsterdam based Roomware guys have created an OS server to which different sensors can be attached. Applications in turn then can access the data from those sensors, and through the same server send instructions to actuators (projections, sounds, devices etc.) See www.roomwareproject.org/
